i loved your performance at Columbia Central High school. I learned so much more. you are such an amazing lady, i wanted to come up to the stage and hug you but i was trying not to cry.
Thank you so much for sharing a wonderful experience with me. What a wonderful way to say Thank You. Nathaniel looks great also. You have touched the lives of so many children and adults with your story which I am sure they will relate to their children. In our travels to Eastern Europe we have encountered so much antisemitism, especially in Budapest. People killing other people just because they practice another religion is rampant. But through your talks and your book, I would be grateful if we even saved one person’s life. You are the conduit to teaching society to respect each other based on your experiences.
I still would like to meet you and Nathaniel for lunch. Let me know when you are available. Also if you are having a presentation in NY let me know so my husband can finally see what I talk about frequently.
Love to all,
Gloria Wagner

Hello I just heard your speech and I am a student. I wanted to ask you a question, but it did not seem appropriate at the time. My entire family was from Peoria IL and I was wondering if you knew some of my family. Some of my family family’s last names are Coffee, Tomlin, and Borho. I was wondering if you or your husband knew those names. I was so glad you came to my school, It was life changing! Please let me know if you have ever known my family or any of my family members since they have lived there. Thank you so much for your time and coming to our school.
thank your for visiting Oxford and letting our school come and listen to your story about when you experienced the holocaust. the way you told your story was so open, I’m glad I got to experience you telling your story.
Dear Mrs. Lazon,
I am a student at Oxford Intermediate School in Oxford, MS. I want to thank you for coming to speak at the Ford Center, and I want to let you know that you inspire SO many people. You are so amazing, and hearing you speak was a life changing experience! I know I will definitely tell my family and friends your story. Thank you so much for coming, and I am awed by your amazing character.
Dear Mrs. Marion
Thank you for coming to the ford center in Oxford Mississippi. I really enjoyed it!!!! I hope I might one day be able to tell my friends and my children about you and your story. I was the red headed girl in the second row and I loved your answer my question about fear! Thank you so much and you know Mr. Hurdle thats my dad. I cant thank you enough for the experience provided me that day and I hope I get to see you again.
Thank you foretelling us about the Holocaust. There was a question I wanted to ask, but it didn’t seem important. Did you ever meet Elie Wiesel? Also, I think the reason because some people won’t believe in the Holocaust is because it was too horrible to be real. The Holocaust was basically a real-life nightmare, if you ever read Elie’s book, “Night”. Thank you again for telling us.
Mrs. Blumenthal Lazan, Thank you so much for coming to our school to speak to us today. It meant a lot to me and my friends. Its hard to believe there are people who suffered as bad as you did. I want to make sure you know how grateful we are to have had the opportunity to hear about this. Thank you for being kind and giving hugs! And thank you for answering my question I was the person who asked did you have a Bat mitzvoh. I just wanted to say thank you for coming today.
Dear Mrs. Lazan
When you were talking to us today your speech really touched me. I feel that this is important to talk to us about the Holocaust because we are the last generation. When I become older I will share your story with my family because i believe it is important to share this tragic event with my family.
Thank you so much for coming to Woodmont Middle School and speaking up about the Holocaust, that was very brave and i think no one else will be able to do that with pride and I think I’m speaking for every thing you’ve done
I am so sad at your loss! You came to my kids school a long time ago and gave a wonderful talk that changes many lives .and I will always be great full .
My family and wish you peace in this sad situation. God is with you always and you have the hearts of thousands
You are not alone John Cruz father of Adam Isaiah,Caleb Mathew and Elijah John Luke ..

My name is Daniel Goodman, a sixth grader from Birch Elementary. You came to our school on February 27, 2018 and shared your tragic experience during the holocaust. Your story, song and book touched the hearts of many people of what you went through with your family and the other prisoners in the concentration camps. I want to tell you how brave and how much courage that must’ve taken to get through your experiences. I also encourage you to keep sharing your story to other people and students at schools so they could understand your feelings through those horrible six years. Thank you for coming to our school and teaching us about the holocaust and your tragedies. Sincerly,

It was a privilege for our whole family to get to hear you speak & meet you yesterday. My son’s 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Beverly Reimund is reading your book to her class. My son Michael came home from school & was very passionate in telling your story. We bought your book & read it and found out you were coming to the book store to speak. It was amazing & inspiring to see you & hear your story first hand. You have an inspiring attitude & your message on hope, faith, and how we should all treat each other is a message everyone should hear & live by every day. It will forever be in our hearts & we will think of your story & family often. Thank you very much for being so brave & loving & for sharing your story with us. Especially my children so that they will pass down your story to the next generations. Thank you to Mrs. Reimund for contacting Marion & bringing her here to us!
Dear Jenn,
Thank you for your warm and meaningful note to me. I also thank Mrs. Beverly Reimund for staying in touch with me for many years. My very best wishes to you for a happy holiday season!

Marion,
I just finished reading Four Perfect Pebbles with my 5th grade classes. You could have heard a pin drop as I read page by page. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Our heart goes out to you and what you had to endure as a child, but we are so proud of you for persevering through it all and becoming a survivor to tell your story. People like you bring history to life in classrooms like ours, and I think situations like yours really provide kids with a “real life” connection to history.
Mrs Lynn Croll
Dear Lynn, Many thanks for your meaningful and positive note. Where are you located? In NYS??
Please say hello for me to your students.
Sincerely, Marion
Marion – I just saw you speak in my middle school and it was so inspiring and you are such a lovely person. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me and my school.
Thank you for your inspiring words last night, especially your message to the young people! I am wondering if you ever had a conversation with Anne Frank, since you were in the same camp, or was it too large to permit that, or you may not have even been there at the same time. I wish I had asked that last night. Thank you for coming to Spokane!
Dear Mrs. Marion, I just read your book in school. It was really interesting and good. I can’t believe all of the hard times you went through as a kid. Is there any way you could come speak at our school? We live in Sioux Falls, SD. Please contact me if interested.
Dear Marion,
We at the Alaska Jewish Museum and the Alaska Jewish Campus in Anchorage are wondering if you might be interested in traveling to Alaska in 2023 to do a presentation. Please let us know. We would love to have you visit.
Warmest,
Leslie Fried, Curator
Alaska Jewish Museum
I had a question about the upcoming events. I live in Washington state and cannot attend the in person sessions. I was wondering If I could join some events on zoom that would be great, but were would I find a link??
I started the book a few hours ago and just finished it. What a terrifying experience you and your family went through. To read about your family and speaking engagements is comforting. Thank you for sharing experiences that most of us cannot imagine.
I am of Polish and German ancestry and my prayer is always that my relatives were helpers and not destroyers.
Dearest Marion,
Thank you for your influence on my life. I first met you when you came to Oklahoma and spoke to my school, Brink Middle School, in the Moore Public School District in 1995. I will never forget reading your book with my students in preparation to your coming and then spending a half day with you as you spoke to our students in an assembly and then in small groups. Your loving personality came forth later that spring when you called to check on us after a devastating tornado which hit Moore. Our friendship continued over the years as we kept in touch via email and then you and Nathaniel made a trip into New York City to meet me for lunch when I was visiting my niece in New Jersey. I continue to spread the word of your book and video when I speak to teachers about the Holocaust. When I speak to students from the 90’s, they always ask about you and remember your book very well. Your influence on my students has continued over the years and they have passed your story on to their friends and families. The memory of your parents and Albert live on in their lives and stories as they pass your story on. I love keeping up with the new lives in your family and rejoice with you. Your family is a beautiful example of showing the world that Hitler and the Nazis did not prevail; but definitely lost. Just recently, I read a book about a survivor of the death train you were on. The survivor talks about being liberated by the Russians . Unfortunately, I cannot remember who the survivor was nor which book it was in as I have read so many. May this year, as it is just past the Jewish New Year, bring you nothing but happiness and great joy. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Pam,
Marion was blown away by your detailed and most beautiful description of your close relationship with her through almost 30 years, on the Facebook post. We had missed our connecting flight to Oklahoma via Dallas, and had to stay over to catch a very early flight for Marion’s first talk the next day.
We were lucky to find our luggage, and Marion changed clothes at the airport. Sheila Morrissey was our contact and sggested Marion skip the early moring school visit, but Marion declined that suggestion. It was a loooong first day in Oklahoma. Marion sends big hugs and love to you for all that you have done and continue to do, to pass the legacy of the Holocaust on to today’s youth. Best wishes always, Nathaniel
Thinking of you and your family at this time. Sending prayers for your safety and that people really listen to your story and that their hearts are turned towards kindness

Best wishes, Marion B Lazan

I started the book a few hours ago and just finished it. What a terrifying experience you and your family went through. To read about your family and speaking engagements is comforting. Thank you for sharing experiences that most of us cannot imagine.
I am of Polish and German ancestry and my prayer is always that my relatives were helpers and not destroyers.
Thank you, Michele, for your positive note.
Best wishes for a healthy, happy, productive, and peacefull 2023,
Marion Blumenthal Lazan
